Exercise 4: Run/describe basic two-sample t-test comparisons

Hi from Ireland again! This time... actually Ireland. Here's proof! In this 4th exercise, again use our previous two race samples: Race 1 and Race 2. Compare the mean running times for the two races -- is there a faster race? Now choose your age group (say, -2 to +2 years around your age), and compare those two samples (i.e., that age group from one race compared to the other).

Write very brief complete sentences in one paragraph to describe what you find. Report t values, etc. Send a Word file as an attachment (or simply a write-up in a body of an email) to psyc7302@gmail.com. Use the subject line "EXERCISE 4."

Information about the samples:

• Race 1 is from a midnight New Year's 5K.
• Race 2 is from a Thanksgiving daytime 5K.
